The Strategic Marketing Manager is responsible for increased sales, revenues, market share, promotion, segmentation or creation of a new brand or position in the marketplace. The individual must champion a market driven outlook and have a keen understanding of how to analyze and draw conclusions around market trends which include competition, customers, and new game changing opportunities. This position helps to direct a dedicated operational team toward a focus on the profitability and long-term viability of the enterprise.
The Strategic Marketing Manager will have responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Developing and managing market size and growth models for the whole company. The model should provide market size and growth by product, customer segment, and should be built with primary and secondary research.
Providing analytics, insights and recommendations based on detailed customer segmentation, understanding of buying behavior and trends to develop organic growth strategy.
Develop internal customer metrics to track growth in new customers and existing customers.
Assesses the organization’s current Marketing capabilities against future Marketing objectives and requirements, and formulates a strategy to build required competencies through internal development and recruitment.
Develops a marketing governance process to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand standards. Conducts regular Marketing Operations Reviews to align Marketing strategy with tactics and ensure effective execution of Marketing strategy, including a functional “health check” on at least an annual basis.
Demonstrated strategic work from growing new markets, developing and introducing new products to expanding existing businesses.
Minimum of Five plus yr’s marketing experience demonstrating a hands-on approach.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Education-A bachelor’s degree,MBA is a plus.
